I love to cook a delicious breakfast on Thanksgiving morning but if you’re hosting Thanksgiving Dinner, the last thing you want to do is wake up and cook a gourmet breakfast all the while making a mess in your kitchen. ~ Baked Pumpkin French Toast ~
* OK, I went a little happy with the Powdered Sugar *
Ingredients
6 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 Tbsp sugar
16 oz. Can Pumpkin Puree
1 loaf Italian Sandwich Bread, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
2 tbsp butter cut into small pieces
Directions
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees & Grease 9×13 baking dish
- In large bowl, whisk together eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg & white sugar.
- Beat in pumpkin until fully mixed together
- Arrange bread in the baking dish then pour pumpkin mixture over bread cubes
- Gently toss then sprinkle brown sugar on top evenly.
- Cut butter into tiny pieces and drop on top of mixture
- Bake 30 minutes
