Fall is my most favorite time of year! I love the chill in the air, the warm home, comforting foods and delicious desserts. I love to walk into Starbucks with a great pair of cowboy boots on my PiggyToes and order a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I love festivals, apple crisps, hay rides, corn mazes, long sweaters, new jeans, and after a fun Fall day, I love getting cozy in a decorated Fall Home! This year, I added touches of Fall all throughout our home to make it warm and inviting and found inexpensive and easy ways to do it all! Take a Look!
Fall Tablescape
Its so easy to create a Fall Tablescape on a budget! With Fall Scented Candles, Glass Acorns, Clay Pots with Votives, a Fall Table Garland, Burlap Runner, Wooden Chargers and Fall Napkins, this Tablescape is perfect for our home! Items from Michaels, Target & Pottery Barn.
Fall Vase Fillers
You can find hundreds of Fall vase ‘fillers’ for less than $10 at any Michaels near you! Add them to any vase you have and place it anywhere (and everywhere) to bring the Fall indoors. Think: Fireplace Mantel, Entry Table, Coffee Table, End Table, Dining Room Buffet, Office Desk, Above your Kitchen Sink…The sky is the limit! Its inexpensive and festive!
Fall Door
There are 2 things I love about a Fall Door: Pumpkins & Mums (oh, & corn husks)! I have yet to do our front door decor because a new one is on order and we also haven’t made a trip to the Farm yet (for pumpkins & gourds & apple cider & all that fun stuff!). These are the ideas I love & photos (from Pinterest) that I have my eye on! I can’t wait to get our Pumpkins & Mums… and a new Fall wreath is a must!
Don’t forget to buy your mums when they are little so they last longer!
Fall Home Touches
There are so many other ways to add Fall Touches to your home… from pumpkin candy holders, fall colored towels to hang over your oven handle, fall colored throws or pillows… even adding a fall touch to your candles by tying ribbons around them; try it! I also found the Fall Garland you see below for 50% off at an ‘end of the season sale’ last year. This year, I hung it under our mantel; its festive (& may be moved throughout the season)!
I added wine corks to our hurricane vases with a little glass pumpkin next to it filled with acorns. I could have added so many other things to those hurricanes but I had the corks and went for it (for the time being). If you have hurricanes, think: pine-cones, acorns, leaves, corn kernels, even candy-corn! (I’d be afraid we’d eat them all)
That’s our Fall Home! I’ll update this post as I update our home throughout the season & hope this inspires you to add Fall touches to your home too! Its easy, fun & inexpensive! And don’t forget, even if you don’t have the money now, hit the Fall sales and think about next year!
