Pre-Spring Dining Decor

Are you following our #60dayfarmhouse renovation?  We renovated our dining room and you can now see our new space here!

I’m having a baby in less than 1 week and though I should just stop, I can’t.  I planned to leave all of the Valentine’s Day decor up but I couldn’t look at deep reds throughout our home anymore and had to brighten things up; especially in our Dining Room!

I titled this post, ‘Pre-Spring Dining Decor’ because it’s a transition look to rid my eyes of deep winter colors and bring in a more natural, lighter feel!  When it was complete though, I loved it so much that I think I may just keep it as is all Spring.  Come in!  Take a look at where my PiggyToes have been prancing around!

Welcome to Our Dining Room.

I wanted to give this room a more natural, casual and simple look.  One of the things I love the most is that I shortened our table; something I don’t do often.  Bringing the chairs closer together gives it a more intimate feel and by dressing the table with natural elements like wood, metals and textured linens; gave this room a much more casual look.

The wood chargers, wood napkin rings, chair covers and table linens are all from Pottery Barn, one of my most favorite stores!  The metal leaf stand and ramekins are from Willow House.  With stands like these, you can put candles on it to give it a different look.

This Citron Basil Soy Candle is from Anthropologie; probably my favorite candle store and the 4 beautiful and ornate little glasses you see were a wedding gift from years ago.  I wish I could find more; they are my favorite.  I would bet if you’re into ‘antiquing’, you could find some similar!

The 3 Ivory Pillar Candles and tray are from Pottery Barn, adding a clean feel to the buffet.  And the two dried floral arrangements are from TJMaxx; love!  Keep your eyes open this time of year for dried floral arrangements at your local TJMaxx.  The prices are incredible and the arrangements last for years!

This natural arrangement (sitting on our small serving buffet) was hand-made by my sister-in-law and I!  We each have a few in our homes and purchased all of the materials (Glass vase, White Rocks, Raffia ribbon and Sticks- both curly and straight) at Michaels.

I found this little metal holder in our storage room, filled it with raffia grass and added a few tea light candles inside (which I don’t plan to burn).

I hope this inspires you to add a few Spring touches around your home!

Too funny, huh? I love the natural look you have going in here! LOVE that PB set of candles and your chargers.
And you’re not weird at all, I nested until the day each of my babes came. You just don’t know when you’ll have the time once they make their appearance.

It’s so pretty!! What color are your walls in the dining room? I adore it!

    • Angelique says:

Thank You Sandra! This is our old house and the wall color is ‘Popcorn’- I can’t remember the brown color. In our current dining room, I added a grey accent wall – the color is Repose Grey from Sherwin Williams. Thanks for writing :)

Hi Virginia! THANK YOU :) This is an old school set with great detail in the wood! I called on an ad in the newspaper 8 or 9 years ago! Keep your eyes open at estate sales and antique shops.

I really love this look. I realize this was added several years ago but what is the diagonal table runner called? I can’t seem to find anything like that anywhere. ( I tried table linens)

    Any information would be helpful.
