Fall Pre-School Snack

Each of the students in Roman’s pre-school class get the chance to be the ‘leader’ for a day.  The leader not only brings their favorite toy to class but they also get to bring the snack!

When thinking about what we should bring, I remembered a photo that I saw on Pinterest; fruit cornucopia’s with big chunks of fancy fruit stuffed inside of large waffle cones.  With that as my ‘inspiration’, we made a scaled down version just for little 3 & 4 year old hands and mouths!

If you’re looking for a healthy, easy to make, Fall snack for your child’s pre-school classroom, think about making these!

Ingredients

Makes: 14

1/2 Cantaloupe, diced small

2 Bananas, Halved then sliced

28 Red Seedless Grapes

14 Raspberries

14 JOY Sugar Cones

Directions

Put 1 Grape in the bottom of each sugar cone.

Put the rest of the fruit on top and fill them as full as you wish! (Ours are not overflowing since 3 and 4 year olds will be handling them!)

This guy is so excited to pass out his snack to his pre-school friends tomorrow!

    My son is SO excited to bring snack into his classroom on Monday. I’ve been searching for something fun/tasty/peanut free… this is perfect! Thanks for sharing!

    How did the cones hold up? The fruit didn’t make them soggy did it? I think we’re going to give it a whirl! :)

      Hi Sara Ann! I touched one of the cones this morning before we left and it was still hard… not soggy at all! We made them yesterday late afternoon and then put them in the refrigerator. They were served around 10:00am… At pick-up, Roman told me, “All of my friends said ‘THANK YOU ROMAN!’ when I passed out my snack!” hehe Loved hearing that ;)
